Rockport is a small tourist town with an artistic twist - the arts community in town is very prevalent. The beach is charming and well maintained. There are a few sandbars out here where mild surf breaks; unsuitable for beginners. For slalom or bump and jump its ideal, just be cautious of the sandbars. There is a ski park behind this beach, and 'Little Bay' further back is where many canoe and kayak paddlers play - however the weeds are so thick it is highly unsuitable for windsurfers. There is a small fee to enter the park.
